    If only it was that simple, straight forward and clean, all day today changing inner and outer links and bushes, clamp still not on, not even bothered doing passenger side inner bishes yet, but that looks even worse for lack of room, G clamps are coming out tomorrow.

    You didn't tighten the fixing bolt!! The problem with this job is just that. How to compress the new bush enough for the bolt to engage.

      Maybe using longer bolt would help (assuming there's room for it)?

    also replace both outside links too as they will be warn also. i would also say to clean the anti roll bar were the rubbers sit. get a 1/2 wrench on them dont use air gun it will destroy the bolt head like it nearly did in video. anti roll bar is under massive tension when cornering so its important to tighten them bolts as tight as you can get them using 1/2 wrench

    Isn't a car suppose to stand on its wheels when you tighten a sway bar? Pretty sure this is wrong kind of car lift to do this on...

      Thank you for your comment!
      You are absolutely right, the controlled tightening of the suspension mounts is carried out when the car is on the wheels under its own weight.
      We have already added this information in new videos.

    Nice video! Fighting with this one as we speak. To tighten this (or even get the bolt through) a simple screwdriver and holding with fingers won't work for me. According to Renault manual, you need a special tool for this. item: Sus. 1413. It looks like a crowbar with a horseshoe. I am trying to find something similar.

      @@user-kd6my2wg4n Well... The holes are misaligned, so no matter the lenght, it wont fit. The clamp hole is much higher than the other one.

    so what does this peace of rubber do actually and how to 'feel' if it needs replacement?

    • @autodocuk
      @autodocuk  7 лет назад +1

      It's necessary to change it, when you can see the gap between the stabilizer and the inside of the rubber. Best regards, Autodoc.
